3 TRICKS FOR EFFORTLESS FILE SHARING
The saga continues. In our adventure in discovering the wonders of Microsoft O365, we will include one of its most renowned features which is OneDrive. It is integrated directly with Windows and allows you to keep all your files securely at one place but you can sync and share it with anyone, from nearly anyplace. It also offers easy accessibility features; which makes it simple to use from any device or platform.
OneDrive for Business is an organizational account tied to Microsoft O365 Business and Enterprise plans. If you have got any one of these plans, you also get a terabyte of personal storage.
So let’s go straight to the point, below are the 3 tricks for effortless file sharing:
1. You can directly save all your email attachments to your respective OneDrive folder and can access it anytime, anywhere. Simply right click on an email attachment and choose ‘save to OneDrive’.
Whatever information you store like this can be saved below the “Email Attachments” folder of OneDrive in order that you can easily locate it as well.
2. Share a file with 2 clicks. If you have a file stored in OneDrive and you want to share it with someone else, there's a super-fast way to accomplish that task: just right-click in file explorer and then click Share a OneDrive link. It generates a short link and copies it to the clipboard, ready for you to paste it into an email message or a chat window. Just please be aware that anyone who has that link has the accessibility to open and edit the file, so use this option only when you're sending a file to a trusted friend or colleague.
3. Create a shared folder for your teammates. One of the easiest ways to use this for file sharing is to set up a dedicated folder that you and other people can use to share files.
This option works nice with for sharing with a project team, friends or members of your family. You can also create the folder you want to use for sharing. Give it a reputation that may create its purpose right away obvious though some other person sees it in their OneDrive. Sync that folder to the cloud and send a shared link thereto folder with the opposite person or persons you wish to share it with.
Please make sure you allow editing. Then your friends or co-workers receive a link that takes them to OneDrive on the web, where they can click ‘Add to my OneDrive’ When you add a shared folder, your changes show up for anyone with access to the folder. That adds the shared folder to their OneDrive. It shows up in File explorer automatically, and any files either of the team member add, edit, or delete will be automatically synced to everybody else within the cluster.
